The Latest YHH News
This year has already been a big one for YHH, with several significant developments for the business. Here we share an update on our latest activities and how we continue to evolve to meet our clients’ changing needs.
Our revamped website
Late last year we began working on a major refresh of the YHH website. While it was still doing its job reasonably well, it hadn’t been significantly updated in several years. As the business had grown and changed a lot over that time, we felt a new approach was needed.
As part of the refresh process, we spent some time thinking about our “brand” and how we wanted to present ourselves. Ultimately, we opted for a look that is fresher and more professional, but still feels approachable (at least to us!).
Our new site was launched on Tuesday 2 April and, so far, the feedback has been positive. Our plan is to continue growing our online presence as we continue to expand our service offerings and areas.
Our new services
Since YHH was founded a little over 7 years ago, we have offered one main service – our Full Service Package. While we believe this is a great option that provides real value to our clients, we know it’s not for everyone. As such, we have been thinking about new ways to support a wider range of clients.
When considering new offerings, we have tried to think about the expertise we already have and what support clients would value. This has led to the development of three new service offerings:
Search Location Review: This service is designed for renters who aren’t sure which areas they should be looking in (e.g. they’re new to the city, relocating from overseas, etc.). We consider their lifestyle, budget, and other key requirements, and identify suitable suburbs. We then have a 30-minute video call with them to discuss our recommendations and share advice on renting in those areas. The client also receives a formal report, detailing all our feedback.
Property Review & Inspection: This service is designed for renters who can’t attend their own inspections (e.g. they don’t have time, are relocating from interstate or overseas, etc.). The client purchases a package of inspections (usually 1 or 3) and provides a shortlist of properties, which we research and provide feedback on during a 30 minute video call. The client then indicates which properties they are still interested in, and we schedule and conduct video inspections for them.
DIY Support: This service is designed for clients who we cannot support (e.g. they’re looking out of our service area) or who want to manage their own search. The client purchases access to a library of self-help resources that provide in-depth practical advice on managing their own rental search. These resources can be viewed whenever the client needs, with access provided for a set period of time.
Our new Search Location Review and Property Review & Inspection services are now available for clients to purchase. We’re hoping to launch our DIY Support service within the next couple of months, once the library of resources has been finalised.
YHH in the media
The rental market is getting plenty of media coverage at the moment, with several industry leaders providing expert comments. This has included YHH’s Founder, Wendy Eva-Scott, who has been quoted in a number of pieces about the Melbourne market. Wendy’s recent LinkedIn article on the challenges of online application systems has also been picked up by industry publications.
